My passion for meditation took off in 2014 while first volunteering as a youth educator with the Vancouver Crisis Centre. For 8 years I was contracted to teach mindfulness programs to specialized youth groups, while I pursued a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at UBC. The need to practice what you preach became clear, as I continued to deepen my skill-set with retreats including Vipassana 10-day silent retreats, and any mindfulness workshops I could attend. I continued to feel drawn to share these life changing skills and perspectives with more people in deeper ways.

Since graduating in 2019, I have been working at a social agency in Richmond in a dual role of clinical counsellor and lead of our Neurodiversity program. There, I develop and facilitate workshops in schools and social agencies to support youth with FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and other Complex Behaviour Conditions (ADHD & Autism). Mindfulness is woven into my practice along with further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), and somatic modalities (200 hour Yoga Teacher Training) to support clients using a variety of trauma-informed techniques.

I find flow state beyond the yoga mat throughout the seasons with winter snowboard adventures and summer music-making jams by the campfire. My spiritual practice includes reading motherpeace Tarot cards which incorporates Jungian psychology, feminism and ancient archetypes.
